Weselna księga gości / Wedding guestbook

Chcecie dać fajny prezent dla znajomych z okazji ślubu i wesela? Oprócz koperty warto dać coś od serducha np. księgę gości weselnych.. z gratisową usługą robienia zdjęć i pilnowania w trakcie imprezy, żeby każda para zrobiła sobie zdjęcie i wpisała życzenia! Ale niestety nie powiem wam, czy moim znajomym się podobało.. wesele było w listopadzie i od tamtej pory się do mnie nie odezwali! Hmm.. chyba muszę się zastanowić nad tymi moimi prezentowymi "radami" :D

Want to give a nice gift for your friends' wedding? Apart from an envelope filled with money you can add something special, like for example a handmade wedding guestbook.. with a photo taking service included! Unfortunately I cannot asure you that it is a good gift - the newlyweds haven't contacted me since November (that was when the wedding was!). Hmm.. I think I have to reconsider my gift "advice" :D 

Co by nie było, książkę chcę wam pokazać bo jest bardzo prosta w wykonaniu i w cale nie musicie dużo wydawać. Na okładkę potrzebujecie tektury, tkaniny i kleju roślinnego. Do ozdoby okładki użyłam złotej gwaszy i jakiś małych naklejek.

Well, I still wanted to show you this guestbook as it is very simple to make and you don't have to spend a lot of money on it. I used some cardboard, fabric and glue for the cover. I decorated it with gold gouache and some stickers.

Ja zdecydowałam się na łączenie bindownicą bo jest szybkie, łatwe i przyjemne ale jeśli nie posiadacie w domu takiego sprzętu, równie dobrze możecie użyć zwykłego dziurkacza!

I decided to join everything with a binding machine as it is fast and easy. If you don't have such stuff at home you can use a simple hole puncher!

Środek mnie trochę kosztował.. użyłam MNÓSTWO papierów scrapbokingowych bo każda kartka to jeden papier 20x20cm + naklejona na obu stronach biała kartka z bloku rysunkowego.

The interior was a bit expensive in my case because I used A LOT of scrapbooking papers. Each page is made of one 20x20cm patterned paper + there is shite sketchbook paper on each side of the page.

Na każdej karcie jest też miejsce na zdjęcie, żeby ludziska wiedzieli, że zdjęcie ma być! Wiadomo, życzenia życzeniami, ale bez instaxowego zdjęcia pijanego gościa to już nie to samo! A jak wiadomo, w instaxie nie ma marudzenia w stylu "brzydko wyszłam, jeszcze raz!".

There is also a patterned rectangle on every page so the guest didn't have to wonder where should they stick the photo. As you know, written wishes are great but a guestbook without silly photos of drunken people isn't the same! And when you're taking photos with an Instax camera, there is no moaning such as 'I don't look good in this one, let's take another one!'.

To kolejne wesele na którym biegałam po gościach z aparatem i instruowałam co, jak i gdzie wpisać. Uważam, że to świetna pamiątka ale osoba, która się tym zajmuje traci kilka godzin z imprezy.

Tis isn't the first wedding with me acting as the guestbook lady. I think it really is an amazing keepsake. But there is also one disadvantage - the person responsible for all the photos and wishes spends a couple of hours doing it and misses some of the party.

Ale mimo straconych kilku godzin było warto. Albo tak mi się wydaje (od 7 miesięcy się nie odzywają.. hmm..). W każdym razie ja byłabym z takiej pamiątki bardzo zadowolona! A wy?

Despite the lost moments of the party it was worth it. Or I just think so.. (they haven't contacted me for 7 months.. weird, isn;'t it?). Anyway, I would love such a gift! And what about you?

Lubicie takie weselne prezenciki? Pytam tych co brali ślub i tych co obdarowują nowożeńców - opinie obu stron liczą się tak samo!

What do you think about such wedding gifts? I'm asking those who got married and the guests, you're opinions are equally important!

Niestety po tym weselichu Instaxa sprzedałam bo coraz bardziej było mi żal na filmy. Świetna pamiątka - racja, ale 3zł za jedno malutkie zdjęcie to za dużo. Kiedyś kupię sobie Instaxa na filmy Wide (dużo większe zdjęcia)! Ale teraz taki aparacik pozostaje w sferze zachcianek.

Unfortunately I have sold my Instax after the wedding as I didn't want to spend more money on the films. Photos are great souvenirs, that's for sure, but 3zł is too much for such a small photo. I'll buy an Instax Wide camera someday! But for now, it's just a little fantasy.

Wstyd! / Shame!

Wstyd! Wstyd! Wstyd! Prawie rok minął od ostatniego posta - bardzo was za to przepraszam. Chyba potrzebowałam przerwy.. jeśli jeszcze ktoś odwiedza tego bloga, to dzisiaj chciałabym wam pokazać kocyk dla niemowlaka który robiłam od czerwca. Nieskromnie przyznam, że jest piękny! Wyszedł bardzo rustykalnie.. Zrobiłam go dla przyjaciół, którzy spodziewają się w sierpniu swojego małego cudu. Włożyłam w każdy kwadrat tego zestawu mnóstwo serca i chyba nigdy nie byłam tak zadowolona z mojej szydełkowej roboty. Jeśli chcecie zrobić podobny / taki sam - to bardzo polecam nawet początkującym! Na dole posta podam wam link do prostego tutorialu na youtubie z którego robiłam kwadraty.

Shame! Shame! Shame! It has been almost a year since my last post and I apologise for that. Apparently, I needed a break.. if there is still someone reading this blog, today I want to show you a blanket for a newborn. I started it in June. I know I'm not being modest but I think it's beautiful! It has a rustical look.. I made it for my friends who are expecting a little miracle in August. Every single square is filled with my love and I've probably never been as satisfied with a crochet project as with this one. If you want to make a similar / the same blanket - I can recommend it even for beginners! I'll add a link to the tutorial at the end of this post.

Kocyk powstał z 42 kwadratów. Zrobiłam go z włóczki  Fibra Natura Cottonwood (100% bawełna). Z jednego motka 5 kwadratów. Szydełko 4.0 mm.

The blanket is made of 42 squares. I made it using Fibra Natura Cottonwood yarn (100% cotton). You can make 5 squares out of one skein. I used a 4.0 mm crochet hook.

Po zrobieniu kocyka zostało mi sporo motków więc postanowiłam dorobić pasującą podusię.. jak widać dobra decyzja, bo komplet prezentuje się bardzo przyjemnie!

I had many skeins left after finishing the blanket so I decided to make a matching pillow.. as you can see it was quite a good decision as the set looks very nice!

Wygląd, wyglądem.. ale mam ogromną nadzieję, że mała Maja będzie go kochać i że za kilkanaście lat będzie dla niej miłą pamiątką. W czasach, gdzie większość goni za pieniędzmi i drogimi prezentami ciężko jest dostrzec wartość przedmiotów ręcznie robionych.. ale wierzę w to, że mając takich rodziców, Maja będzie znała tę wartość.

However, the way how it looks isn't the most important thing.. I really hope that Maja will love it and that she will think of it as an amazing souvenir in the future. Handmade items aren't as valuable as they should be in these modern times, full of people who see value only in money.. but I believe that Maja's parents will teach her how to see value in such things.
