Calligraphy for Beginners - Giveaway!

I was really surprised when I saw how much you liked my calligraphy post! A lot of you wrote that you tried to learn to write like that but something was wrong.. well.. I decided to help one of you!

 Zaskoczyliście mnie komenatrzami pod postem z kaligrafią! Cieszę się, że aż tak wam się spodobało :) Wiele z was napisało, że próbowały tak pisać ale coś wam nie wychodziło.. dlatego postanowiłam pomóc jednej z was!! 

 I decided to give away a book 'Calligraphy - the complete beginner's guide' and a new set of nibs. It's a perfect package for beginners. One thing you will have to buy to start writing is ink, but I'm sure most of you have some ink at home :) The best thing is that I have this book in English and in Polish - so the person who will win, can choose the one she/he wants :)

Postanowiłam oddać wam książkę 'Kaligrafia - przewodnik dla początkujących' i zestaw nowych stalówek. Idealny zestaw dla początkujących. Jedyna rzecz, którą będzie musiał dokupić zwycięzca to tusz, ale jestem pewna, że każdy z was ma w domu jakiś tam nieużywany atrament/tusz. Najlepsze jest to, że mam dwa egzemplarze tej książki, jedna po polsku a druga po angielsku - więc osóba, która wygra będzie mogła sobie wybrać :)

It was one of my first books which helped me learn calligraphy, I truly recommend it. It has a lot of fonts and clear instructions how to start. Also some interesting patterns to try out!

To jedna z moich pierwszych książek, która bardzo ułatwiła mi naukę kaligrafii - na prawdę polecam. Ma wiele różnych czcionek i proste instrukcje jak się za to zabrać. Ma też interesujące wzory do wypróbowania! :)

Tell Your Story Challenge!

I'm tired of making the same kind of giveaways all the time, it's really getting boring! So I decided to make something different this time.. a special challenge with a nice prize! :)

As you can see the challenge's title is TELL YOUR STORY.

Every person who wants to participate has to:

- follow my blog (or at least my fanpage)

- put the banner and link of this challenge on your blog (or your facebook page)

- and the most important thing.. write a short story (at least 500 words) from your life and send it to my e-mail address: marysza.fotolog@vp.pl with the e-mail's title 'tell your story' - it can be a simple e-mail message, or a scan of your handwritted story!

I don't care about what kind of story it will be and if you are a professional writer or not. I really don't care about your writing style - I'm not a teacher :) I just want to know you all better and want to feel while something reading your stories :)

After I will receive all stories I will make a nice book from them, so you have to be aware that your story will be on my bookshelf! I won't sell them or anything, I just want to have a nice blog keepsake. Every story from this book will be signed with your name, blog address and e-mail. I won't show these stories on my blog, except the 3 ones that will win.

Like I mentioned before there will be 3 prizes. One big prize - a dreamed notebook (value up to $50). The winner will choose if he/she wants an old journal, a planner or just a simple notebook and will choose how it will look like! :) There will also be two consolation prizes, small notebooks (value $10) for the second and third place.

I hope there will be some participants! I would love to have a thick book filled with stories from the blog world. You can write your story in polish or in english, it's up to you :)

You can send your stories to the 3rd August, I will pick the winners on the 13th August (I need to have some time to read everything!)

What inspired me to make this kind of challenge? Well.. I make notebooks.. a lot of them, and every time I make one I imagine it filled with my client's thoughts, adventures and dreams. I would really love to see these things in one of my journals in reality :)

I hope it is a good idea to make challenges like this.. If this edition will be successful I will make similar challenges in the future for sure! :)

P.S. If you are more into traditional writing and sending things, no problem :) You can send me your story to my home address, just ask me about it by e-mail first :)

Fun Weekend and.. the Winner!

I had a very busy weekend! As probably most of you know the 5th National Scrapbooking Meeting was on Saturday in Warsaw.. and I was there! I am so happy I decided to go and finally meet in reality some lovely bloggers! It was incredibly hot but still the atmosphere was amazing! Seven hours spent in the train was 100% worth it!

Sunday was busy too.. as I mentioned in a previous post I was going to Cafe Szafe's First Craft Fair in Cracow! It was my first craft fair ever and beside the fact that it was incredibly hot and stuffy it was a really great day! I met some wonderful artists, oh gosh.. can't wait to see these people again!! Unfortunately I don't really have many photos from Sunday.

Spring Giveaway! + winner announcment

I'm shocked! So much people entered the last giveaway that I decided to make another one today so more of you can win! But this time the little main prize is a (note)book!

It's made in a traditional bookbinding technique. The cover is made of thick purple canvas - and pages are also purple! As you can see, there is an ornamental design on the front. It's really cute in reality - I really hope you will like it! :)

The second prize is a pencil case - similar to the one shown below - but you will pick the fabrics and size! You can have pencil case fiting to the notebook - your choice! :)

And the third prize - one of the journals from the photos below. They are thin - perfect for some art-journal challenges! :) If you don't like them - I also can make a new one :)

Planner Giveaway!

I know you liked my previous planners. I had a lot of comments about them.. 

So.. I thought it would be nice if one of you could win one..

 I created a special planner with a simple pastel pink cover and five separating cards :)

 It has white pages because when I was creating it, I ran out of creamy paper..

 This pastel pink fabric is beautiful, I bought it in Ikea few days ago :)

In reality the colour is waaaay more beautiful! I can asure you :)

 It has 400 pages, the size is A6 (as usually). It's just perfect for your bags and purses!

Why do I want to give it away? Well, I want to say THANK YOU for your comments and support! And the second reason is that I'm re-opening my etsy shop this week. It's a little thank you & hello again giveaway.. I really hope you like it!
