Triangle Quilt At Last!

Yay! I finished sewing my Triangle Quilt at last! You can't even imagine how happy and proud I am! Of course it's crooked and totally NOT perfect, but still I have to admit I love it. It's very big- 220cm x 170cm and I also sewed a special, matching pillow cover for it! :)
Jupi! :)
As you can see the pillow cover is also quite big - 70cm x 44cm :) I sewed it from remaining triangles after I finished the quilt.
The size is perfect for a double bed. And below a little size comparison with little me! :)
Rozmiar idealny na łóżko dwuosobowe. A poniżej małe porównanie wielkości z małą mną! :)
When I was sewing it I had no idea that it will be so big, I was just adding new stripes and triangles.. when I put it on the carpet I was really surprised how big it was!!
I forgot to make photos of the back of this quilt, but It's really simple.. made just from two fabrics. This quilt is for me, and I can't wait to put it on my new bed (someday in the future :P!) and I really don't care how the back looks like, because I will be staring at the front! :D
What do you think about this quilt? Do you think I should be glad or on the contrary? Can't wait to hear your opinions!!
I co myślicie o tej narzutce? Powinnam być dumna czy wręcz przeciwnie? Nie mogę się doczekać waszych opinii!!

Have a wonderful Sunday,
udanej niedzieli,
marysza

P.S. Big THANK YOU for my A. for helping me (a lot!) with photos!!

Little Leaves Quilt

I finished making an enormous quilt a almost a week ago.. oh it was such a hard work! I spent on sewing this project 5/7 days!! And I'm really happy I managed to finish it :)
I wasn't able to make a good photo at home because this quilt is too big. I couldn't go outside to make better photos because I have an angina and I feel really bad right now :(
I really hope you can imagine this bedcover/quilt better than shown on these photos!
Back is made of a hexagon pattern fabric - the only fabric I had at home which was big enough!
SIze is about 140cm x 240cm - the biggest project I have ever made!
And I quilted for the first time in my life! Well I tried earlier but I never really made it quite good!
I'm incredibly proud of this bedcover and just can't wait to hear your opinions! I hope you like it as much as I do :)) Now.. I have to take a nap because I feel awful.. it's so hot outside and I'm sick! :(

This bedcover is inspired by a project in this great book:
'The Practical Guide to Patchwork' by Elizabeth Hartman
I recommend this book for every lady who wants to start making quilts! :)

This project is made also for 12/12 Challenge on Art-Piaskownica!

Have a wonderful day,
marysza

Starflower Blocks

Attention! Prepare for very very bad photos! I have no idea how to make photos of such big objects! I can't go out with them because I live in an enormous block of flats and in front of my block of flats I have no green areas where I can make some photos.. well I could wait with showing these things to spring or summer.. but I'm not a very patient person! haha
I sewed this set about a month (or maybe two) ago.. And I made them thanks to Ellison's tutorial! It's really easy to make starflower blocks - hop onto her blog and check it :)
I made two big (50 x 50 cm) starflower pillows.. my mom picked the fabrics because it was for her :) her little special order ;p as you can see on the photo below the backs of these pillows are made from soft to the touch polar..
And here.. the most important thing.. a (little bit) quilted duvet! It isn't very big it's about 110cm wide and 160cm long - so it's just for one person - perfect for cold evenings with a book (checked!) or warm summer nights! ;d
It's my first duvet - it's thick and the back of it is also polar, so it's twice warm :) but it's also twice crooked! I have no idea what went wrong, maybe I just sewed it too fast? Don't know.. all I know that it is crooked and I don't really care because still I'm proud of it haha!
I'm very happy I used two of my new decorating stitches - the flowery one and the leafs.. They look really nice (when you imagine that the whole duvet isn't crooked haha!)
What do you think? Do you like it? I'm very proud of it but like I said it's my first duvet! More experienced quilters will probably just laugh! ;p

I am really really sorry for these awful photos!
Have a nice weekend - and wish me luck on Monday..
I have to pass Great Britain's Culture oral test! ;o
