Handmade Autumn Journal

Today's post is about a breathtaking journal made by my A. I received it as a late gift for my birthday. I wanted to show you this journal so much you can't even imagine.. It's a masterpiece!

Dzisiejszy post jest o zapierającym dech notesie zrobionym przez mojego A. Dostałam go jako spóźniony prezent urodzinowy. Nawet sobie nie wyobrażacie jak bardzo chciałam wam pokazać to małe arcydzieło!

The journal is A6 with 400 creamy pages with rough edges. The cover.. ahh the cover is made of old, recycled leather. The tree motive on the cover is made of little sticks, which were put under the leather.

Journal ma 400 kremowych, postarzanych stron A6. Okładka.. ahhh ta okładka.. (!) zrobiona jest ze starej skóry (recykling!). Motyw drzewka jest ułożony z gałązek, które są pod skórą.

The leather is quite old, and I think this detail makes it even more mysterious and magical.

Skóra jest dość stara i dzięki temu notes jest jeszcze bardziej tajemniczy i magiczny.

Pages are creamy and blank. I have no idea what to use this notebook for - it really has to be used for something special, don't you think?

Strony są białe i jak na razie puste. Nie mam zielonego pojęcia do czego użyć tego notesu - a musicie przyznać, muszę go do czegoś wykorzystać, do czegoś wyjątkowego, prawda?

Maybe you have some ideas what to use it for??

Może macie jakieś pomysły na wykorzystanie go??

The back cover is simple, without any embellishments.

Tylna część okładki nie ma żadnych ozdóbek.

Wood from a very old house

Hello :) Time to show you something my A. did! He didn't make notebooks for a long time, but he put himself together a few days ago and created a beautiful, wooden journal!

Dzień dobry :) Czas pokazać wam co mój A. ostatnio zrobił! Już dość długo nie zajmował się notesami, ale ostatnio wziął się w garść i specjalnie dla mnie zrobił przepiękny drewniany notes!

 What's so special about these two pieces of wood? Well.. they are very, very old. Originally, they were black and very destroyed because they were part of a house at the countryside! My A. cleaned them thoroughly, combined with brown leather and.. here it is! My beautiful, wooden journal!

A czemu jest taki wyjątkowy? Drewno, z którego powstała okładka jest bardzo, baaaardzo stare. Przed gruntownym wyczyszczeniem było czarne i bardzo zniszczone bo.. było częścią domu u niego na wsi! A. połączył drewno, skórę, sznurek i trochę kartek.. no i stworzył coś niesamowitego! Przepiękny drewniany journal :)

 You may think it's difficult to open it, but it's not! It opens just as a simple notebook with a fabric cover :) It's A6 and has 400 creamy pages. I'm still wondering what to do with it.. any ideas?

Pewnie myślicie, że ciężko się ten notes otwiera - nic bardziej mylnego! Otwiera się tak samo jak notesy z materiałową okładką :) Journal jest formatu A6 i ma 400 kremowych stron. Ciągle zastanawiam się do czego go użyć.. macie może jakieś pomysły?

 I posted a little riddle on my facebook page yesterday. I asked what did the photo on the left show! A lot of people guessed, and a lot of people had some nice ideas! I will choose the winner today evening :)

Wczoraj na moim maryszkowym koncie na facebooku pojawiła się zagadka. Mieliście zgadnąć czego fragmentem jest ten kawałek drewna na zdjęciu po lewej. Sporo osób zgadło, a reszta miała naprawdę super pomysły! Dzisiaj wieczorem wybiorę zwycięzcę :)

One of my new year's goals is to finish my XXL blanket, which I started over a year ago. It's one of my 10000 projects half done! It's time to finish some of them, right?!

Jednym z moich celów w 2016r. jest skończenie kocyka XXL. Zaczęłam go szydełkować ponad rok temu. To jeden z 10000 projektów, które porzuciłam w połowie. Czas się w końcu za nie zabrać, no nie?!

 The dimensions are 220x80cm (13th January 2016). How do you like it so far? It will be a very big and a veeeery thick blanket, perfect for cold winters :)

Obecne wymiary kocyka to 220x80cm (13 stycznia 2016r.). Jak wam się podoba jak na razie? To będzie bardzo duży i baaardzo gruby koc.. idealny na zimę :)

January is here - the most busy month ever. I have to learn so much! Weekend studies can be really stressful when you work during the week. January is a "no life" month for me.

Styczeń już nas dopadł - to najbardziej pracowity miesiąc jak dla mnie. Mam mnóstwo nauki! Studia zaoczne + praca w tygodniu = dużo stresu i totalny brak czasu na cokolwiek. Myśl przewodnia na styczeń to "totalny brak życia towarzyskiego".

Keep your fingers crossed for all my tests and exams!

NEW! Wooden Vintage Journal!

Hello everyone! Today some exciting news! I have something completely new for you! This weekend was full of learning and.. crafty stuff! My A. made something special..

Dzień dobry! Dzisiaj mam bardzo ekscytującą wiadomość! Mam dla was coś całkiem nowego! Ten weekend był nie tylko pełen nauki.. ale też craftowania! Mój A. zrobił coś wyjątkowego..

For the first time ever.. (hope it won't be the last time too!) I am showing you the handmade Wooden Vintage Journal! It was the most challenging journal ever! Wooden elements are recycled from some old stuff. Every wooden part is shaped by hand.

Pierwszy raz w życiu.. (i mam nadzieję, że nie ostatni!) pokazuję wam ręcznie robiony drewniany, vintage'owy journal! To był najbardziej wymagający notes jaki zrobiliśmy. Drewniane elementy są z recyklingu z jakiś starych rzeczy. Każda drewniana część jest docinana itp. ręcznie.

We wanted it to look very old, so we used brown leather to attach all the elements.

Chcieliśmy, żeby notes wyglądał baaaardzo staro, dlatego do łączeń użyliśmy brązowej skóry naturalnej.

 Every edge is altered to look older.. but I won't tell you how we did it :) It's our little secret! :D

Każdy brzeg jest przerobiony, żeby wyglądał jeszcze bardziej staro.. ale nie zdradzę jak to zrobiliśmy :D

 The size of the notebook is A6 with 300 creamy pages. Its very thick - 4cm!

Wielkość notesu to A6 z 300 kremowymi stronami. Jest bardzo gruby - aż 4cm!

 I am in love with this journal. My A. wanted to make a notebook like this for a couple of years and finally he did it! It is just perfect (well, for me!) - looking so old! I would use it for a diary if I could use it myself!

Ja jestem zakochana w tym journalu. Mój A. już parę lat temu chciał zrobić notes z drewnianą okładką i w końcu się za to wziął! Jest idealny (no, przynajmniej dla mnie!) - i wygląda naprawdę staro! Gdybym miała go sobie zostawić, zrobiłabym z niego wyjątkowy pamiętnik :)

Now questions for you: Do you like it? Do you think we should make more journals like this one? And if you like it, what would you use it for?

A teraz pytania do was: Podoba wam się ten journal? Myślicie, że powinniśmy częściej takie robić? A jeśli wam się podoba, do czego byście go użyli?

Ohh.. I really hope you like it as much as I do! It looks a lot better in reality!

Ohh.. mam cichą nadzieję, że spodoba wam się tak jak mnie! Na żywo wygląda dużo lepiej!

A little bit of this and a little bit of that...

We are back from our little holidays in the countryside.. and we are really relaxed! Can't wait to start sewing today and doing other fun & creative stuff! I was just doing nothing and reading books but my A. worked and worked all the time - creating wonderful stuff! And I would like to show you one of our little remakes!

Wróciliśmy z naszego małego wypadu na wieś.. i w końcu jesteśmy wypoczęci! Nie mogę się doczekać aż zacznę dzisiaj szyć i robić inne fajne i kreatywne pierdoły! Ja w sumie nic tam nie robiłam, trochę książek sobie czytałam.. ale mój A. calusieńki czas coś kombinował - naprawdę świetne rzeczy tworzył! Dzisiaj chciałabym wam pokazać jedną z naszych małych przeróbek!

 We found a VERY old and neglected metal basket, and we decided to make something nice from it!
Znaleźliśmy BARDZO stary i zaniedbany metalowy koszyk i postanowiliśmy zrobić z nim coś ładnego!

A bit of cleaning, cutting, spraying (spray acrylic paints - they are genious!) and voila!

Troszkę czyszczenia, cięcia, sprayowania )(akrylowe farby w sprayu - genialne!) i gotowe!

 I have a big, beautiful, pastel basket! I love it's colour - pastel blue (looks better in reality). And I already know what to do with it! It will be perfect for my correspondence! I ill put there all letters and packages which I'm going to send! :) What do you think about it? Nice idea? :)
Teraz mam duży, piękny, pastelowy koszyk! Uwielbiam ten kolor - pastelowy niebieski (wygląda lepiej na żywo). I nawet wiem już co z nim zrobię! Jest idealny na moją korespondencję! Będę do niego wkładać wszystkie listy i paczki, które będą do wysłania! :) A wy co o tym sądzicie? Dobry pomysł? :)

 And as you can see on the photos above, there is a simple, wooden letter A - a little handmade gift from my lovely Alan :) it's not perfect (I draw the lines - so they are crooked :P) but I really love it! :)
Jak widać na zdjęciacj wyżej - jest też prosta, drewniana literka A - mały własnoręcznie zrobiony prezent od mojego Alana :) nie jest idealna (to dlatego, że ja rysowałam linie.. ojj krzywo!) ale i tak ją uwielbiam! :)

And here a little photo of us, just sitting in the middle of a big field and doing nothing (just silly photos :P). I have to admit I needed this trip a lot - now I am full of energy! Yay! :D
A niżej my, pośrodku wielkiego pola, nie robimy kompletnie nic (no tylko jakieś głupawe zdjęcia :P). Muszę przyznać, że potrzebowałam tego wyjazdu - teraz jestem pełna energii! W końcu! Jupi :D

 My A.'s grandmother has an obsession about flowers, she has a great garden. You wouldn't believe how many interesting colours and shapes I found there. I spent an hour making just a few macro photos! :)
Babcia A. ma obsesję na punkcie kwiatków, ma naprawdę cudowny ogród. Nie uwierzylibyście ile ciekawych kolorów i kształtów tam znalazłam. Godzinę spędziłam na robieniu kilku byle jakich zdjęć macro! :)

Hardcover Natural Leather Journal

About a year ago I bought on a flea market a very soft, beautiful, brown leather. I had no idea what to do with it but I just had to buy it - you can't imagine how soft it is in touch (I could hug it - weird!). Now when we started making notebooks in a traditional bookbinding technique we decided to try to make a special book from this leather.

 I am enchanted! It really looks great as a cover, don't you think?

 As you can see on the photos we introduced a little new innovation (again!) - the pages are a little bit olden (rough) just a bit but they look much more interesting :)

 I could touch and touch this cover all the time!! o.O

 It has about 400 pages size A6 as usually :)

Oh I forgot to mention that my A. is the author of this (note)book :) He is way more patient in bookbinding than I am - but what can I say - I'm a patient seamstress! :)

Hardcover Purple Journal

Ladies and gentleman! Introducing my A.'s second (note)book!

I think it looks really amazing! It is his second book and it's already very complicated!

Everything is made with great precision! The cover is made of thick purple canvas.

It has about 400 pages size A6  pages are also purple, but have a little different tone.

100% handmade from top to bottom!

(well, we didn't produce the paper ;p but who knows what will be next!)

I hope you like it as much as I do!

I have to ask my boy to make another one like this for me! Haha ;d

This is my last off-school day! What a shame! It was such a wonderful and creative 3 weeks! Tomorrow.. I have 10h at my University.. I whink I'll die there! ;o

Hardcover Mat Black Journal

I am so happy we started this new project! We made few notebooks, can't wait to show you every single one of them! Especially the ones my A. made! I didn't thought he is so patient and precise! His first book was way more beautiful than mine! Look!

It has a beautiful detail on the main cover - something like a special frame!

A great paper inside of the cover and about 400 creamy pages!

I am very proud of my A. he created something unique and beautiful..

Do you like it? I think that for his second (note)book it is amazing!

Can't wait to see his new works! I'm sure they will be even more inspiring!
