Planners, a cowl and yarn.

Hello everyone! I didn't write posts for such a long time! I am sewing and crocheting almost all the time but I just don't have time to write a proper post! But today I put myself together and I will show you some things I made in the last few weeks!

Hej! Aaale długo nic tu nie pisałam! Ale nie myślcie, że nic nie robię - szyję i szydełkuję prawie cały czas tylko jakoś nie mam czasu usiąść i napisać posta! Ale dzisiaj wzięłam się w garść i pokażę wam kilka rzeczy, które ostatnio zrobiłam!

First of all - I had a cooperation with Projekt Planner!

Na początek - współpracowałam z Projekt Planner!

I was so happy when Karolina asked me to make some planners for her! I made 10 xxl planners.

Byłam bardzo szczęśliwa gdy Karolina zapytała mnie czy zrobię dla niej kilka plannerów! Zrobiłam 10 giga plannerów.

Szczegóły na dole:

A5 planners with 400 white pages and 4 colorful separating cards. The cover is quite stiff - I used a special kind of thick interfacing. The planners are closed by a white elastic band.

Plannery A5 z 400 białymi stronami i 4 kolorowymi przekładkami. Okładki są dość sztywne - użyłam specjalnego grubaśnego wypełnienia. Plannery zamykane białą gumką elastyczną.

 I had so much work with them..! And what do you think about them? If you are interested, you can buy them in ProjektPlanner's shop!

Bardzo się przy nich napracowałam..! Co o nich sądzicie? Jeśli chcielibyście jeden dla siebie, to zapraszam do sklepu ProjektPlanner!

And now something about crocheting - I made the biggest cowl ever! It's mustard (perfect cowl colour, right?) and it's made of 4 pieces of Kotek yarn (100g/300m). Here is a photo when I was in the middle of it :D

A teraz coś z innej beczki - szydełkowej beczki! Zrobiłam największy komin w życiu! Jest musztardowy (idealny kolor na komin, prawda?) i jest zrobiony z 4 włóczek Kotek (100g/300m). Poniżej zdjęcie jak byłam w połowie szydełkowania :D

 I made it in two or three days - super fast for me. Usually I spent more time on smaller projects! And below is the finished product - XXL Mustard Cowl! It's ENORMOUS, seriously. It can be a scarf and a hoody in the same time. Perfect for a person who is always cold - me!

Zrobiłam go w dwa lub trzy dni - jak na mnie to bardzo szybko. Zazwyczaj na mniejszych projektach spędzam więcej czasu! A poniżej zdjęcie skończonego produktu - Komin XXl! Jest OGROMNY, serio serio. Może być szalikiem i kapturem w tym samym momencie. Idealny dla takiego zmarzlucha jak ja!

 I love crocheting things like this.. fast&easy!

Uwielbiam takie szydełkowanie - szybkie&łatwe!

Some time ago I won a super discount for Pełny Wełny shop. I bought a lot of weird yarn, like Bamboo Bloom or Big Bang yarn. Now I have a super dilemma what to make from them!

Jakiś czas temu wygrałam super zniżkę w sklepie Pełny Wełny. Kupiłam dziwaczne włóczki, np. Bamboo Bloom czy Big Bang. Teaz mam wielki dylemat co mam z nich zrobić!

 Have you got any ideas?! Help! :D

Ktoś ma pomysły?! Pomocy! :D

First Crochet Cowl

Hello! As some of you know I'm learning how to crochet for over a month now, I don't really have time to do it.. but the best thing about crochet is that you can do it in a waiting room at the doctor's office, in a bus or when you are just waiting for someone.. Perfect thing to carry with you everywhere! And thanks to Art-Piaskownica's new challenge I decided to try myself and make my first crochet cowl E V E R!

Hej wszystkim! Jak część z was wie od jakiegoś czasu uczę się szydełkować. Nie bardzo mam na to czas ale właśnie najpiękniejsze w tym jest to, że szydełkować można wszędzie - w poczekalni u lekarza, w autobusie czy gdziekolwiek jak się na kogoś czeka.. Idealne do noszenia zawsze przy sobie! I dzięki nowemu wyzwaniu Art-Piaskownicy postanowiłam spróbować i zrobić swój pierwszy komin robiony na szydełku!

When I was somewhere in the middle I noticed that something was wrong.. I lost a few single crochets! But later when I tried it on, I decided to correct it of course - BUT also make it a bit narrower at the top so it will be loose on the neckline and more tight on the neck itself.

Jak byłam już gdzieś tak w połowie zauważyłam że coś jest nie tak.. zgubiłam kilka oczek! Ale później, już po opanowaniu sytuacji, przymierzyłam i stwierdziłam że w sumie dobrze by było zrobić komin który na górze jest węższy a na dole szerszy. No i troszkę tak zrobiłam, przynajmniej bardziej przylega na górze :D

 Beside the fact that it is crooked in the middle I have to admit I'm quite proud of it! These are my beginnings and I made something that I really use everyday now! :D

Nie liczac faktu, że jest krzywy na środku to muszę przyznać, że naprawdę jestem z niego dumna! To moje początki a udało mi się zrobić coś co mogę nosić na co dzień! :D

 I'm planning to make more of cowls like this, I'm just a maniac of scarfs and stuff like that, I have to wear something on my neck almost every day!

Mam zamiar zrobić więcej kominów podobnych do tego. Jestem maniakiem wszelkiego rodzaju szalików i tego typu rzeczy, zawsze muszę mieć coś pod szyją!

And now question to you guys, do you like it? Should I make more of these? Not necessary with colours like this, but do you think it looks nice? I really really need an honest opinion! :D

A teraz pytanie do was, podoba wam się? Powinnam robić więcej takich? Oczywiście nie w tych samych kolorach, ale czy w ogóle według was wygląda w miarę ok? Naprawdę potrzebuję szczerej opinii! :D

Keep Calm and.. try new things!

Hey there! Today's post is very grey - like the weather outside! First - new t-shirt with a Sharpie remake, and the something I am learning recently..! If you are interested.. read on!

Hej! Dzisiejszy post będzie dość szary - jak pogoda za oknem! Na początek - nowa koszulka przerobiona za pomocą pisaków Sharpie a potem o czymś czego się ostatnio uczę..! Zainteresowani? To zapraszam do pooglądania i poczytania!

As you all know, I love Sharpie markers. About a year ago I made some simple remakes of my t-shirts but mostly these clothes were just worn around the house. But this new one won't be like the previous ones!

Jak wiecie uwielbiam pisaczki Sharpie. Jakoś rok temu pomalowałam sobie kilka koszulek, ale chodziłam w nich tylko po domu, bo do niczego innego się nie nadawały. Ale z tą będzie inaczej!

 I wrote the KEEP CALM AND SCREW MORE on one of my favourite type of clothing - a simple t-shirt. I bought this blouse few weeks ago for 10zł (about $3), I narrowed it, used a fabric marker and it looks less boring now! Don't you think? :D

Napis KEEP CALM AND SCREW MORE (mała gra słów) zrobiłam na rodzaju koszulki, które uwielbiam. Kupiłam tą bluzkę za 10zł, zwęziłam, użyłam pisaczków do tkanin i teraz już nie jest taka nudna! Też tak uważacie? :D

Second thing I wanted to tell you about is.. that I started (very slowly) to learn crochet! I always adored all works made from yarn, I even tried to do something with knitting needles but it always came out a catastrophy! However a week ago, I decided to use the crochet hook.. and I just finished my first coaster!

Kolejną rzeczą, o której chciałam dzisiaj napisać jest to.. ze zaczęłam się uczyć (powolutku) szydełkowania! Zawsze podziwiałam cuda robione z włóczki, nawet próbowałam kiedyś zrobić coś na drutach ale zawsze kończyło się to katastrofą! Ale tydzień temu w końcu postanowiłam spróbować z szydełkiem.. i właśnie skończyłam swoją pierwszą podkładkę!

 It was VERY crooked but I didn't want to unravel my first yarn something so I added some fabric, cut here and there and it looks quite nice!

Wyszła BARDZO krzywo ale nie chciałam pruć mojego pierwszego włóczkowego cosia więc dodałam trochę tkaniny, przycięłam to tu to tam i teraz wygląda całkiem nieźle!

 I know that some of you who are experienced with crochet will think it looks awful, but for me it really is a great success! :P And withoug Sen Mai's tutorials I would never ever understand how to use the crochet hook! Thank you Ula P. !

Wiem, że osoby które są doświadczone w szydełkowaniu pomyślą, że to strasznie wygląda ale dla mnie to wielki sukces! :P I gdyby nie tutoriale od Sen Mai nigdy nie ogarnęłabym jak używać szydełka! Ula P. - dziękuję!

Next thing I'm planning to try to do with yarn is.. a simple bathroom rug! I already bought all needed things, just need to find some time. Keep your fingers crossed! :D

W planach mam już kolejną rzecz.. prosty dywanik do łazienki! Już kupiłam grubaśną czarną włóczkę, teraz potrzebuję tylko czasu. Trzymajcie kciuki! :D

Are you crocheting? Do you know some nice pages/books for beginners (crochet for dummies or something like that? :P)? I would also love to see your yarn projects!

Szydełkujecie? Znacie jakieś fajne strony/książki dla początkujących (np. szydełkowanie dla idiotów ale coś? :P). Z chęcią popatrzę też na wasze włóczkowe projekty!

(Unsuccessful) Recycled Bedcloth Project

It's not always about successful projects on this blog as you probably noticed already. Today I'm going to show you my miserable approach to sewing clothes!

Nie zawsze piszę tutaj o udanych projektach - jak już pewnie zauważyliście. Dzisiaj pokażę wam moje marne próby szycia ubrań!

In the newest recycle challenge at Art-Piaskownica we decided to recycle old bedclothes. I tried to sew a blouse and show my pajama pants which I sewed over a year ago.

W najnowszym wyzwaniu recyklingowym na Art-Piaskownicy postanowiłyśmy przerobić starą pościel. Ja spróbowałąm uszyć bluzkę z pościeli i pokazać spodnie od piżamy, które zrobiłam ponad rok temu.

 I didn't use any particular pattern, I just grabbed a pair of jeans and copied them on paper. Then just cut out the fabric, sewed it together and voila! Everything without measuring - which was a big mistake. Wanted to make them too fast. These pajama pants are a bit too loose on hips (even though there is a string) and a bit too tight on the femur.

Nie korzystałam z żadnego szczególnego wzoru, wzięłam pierwsze lepsze jeansy i przerysowałam je. Potem wycięłam materiał, zszyłam wszystko i voila! Wszystko bez konkretnego mierzenia - i to był wielki błąd. Chciałam zbyt szybko i zbyt łatwo. Piżamowe spodnie są za luźne na biodrach (sznurek nic nie zmienia) i troszeczkę zbyt obcisłe na udach.

 With this blouse the story is a bit different. I spent some time trying to make a pattern (I never learnt how to make them!) and started cutting two old bedclothes (red&dotty). Everyhing would be ok if not the fact that bedcloth fabrics are just no good for clothes!! They are too stiff!!

Z tą bluzką historia wygląda nieco inaczej. Spędziłam trochę czasu nad wzorem (nigdy nie uczyłam się jak je robić!) i zaczęłam ciąć dwie stare poszwy (czerwoną&w kropki). Wszystko byłoby ok gdyby nie fakt, że tkaniny z których robi się poszwy nie są na ubrania!! Są zbyt sztywne!!

 I'm keeping the pattern because it's quite nice. I just have to buy a soft and light fabric and I'll try to make it again! I hope that change of the fabric will help!!

Zostawiam sobie wzór, bo całkiem fajnie wyszedł. Muszę tylko kupić jakąś delikatną i miekką tkaninę i spróbuję zrobić ją jeszcze raz. Mam nadzieję, że zmiana materiału pomoże!!

If you have some advices about doing your own clothes patterns and sewing clothes I would love to hear  (read) them! I'm a super beginner when it comes to sewing clothes, and the worst part is that I don't want to use books, just learn everything from the air (silly me!). But what a satisfaction I will have later!!

Jeśli macie jakieś rady dotyczące robienia swoich wzorów i szycia ubrań z chęcią je poczytam! Jestem totalną początkującą jeśli chodzić o szycie ubrań, a najgorsze jest to, że nie chcę się uczyć z książek tylko z powietrza (głupia ja!). Ale jaka potem będzie satysfakcja!!

What can we create from a curtain?

I would never even suppose that I'll sew a skirt! And a skirt from an old curtain! I didn't use any specific pattern, I just looked at one of my old skirts and tried to sew something like them.

It's not a perfect one but as it is my first skirt ever sewed from scratch, I'm incredibly glad!

As you can see it's pleated. I wanted to make a lot more pleates, but I had just a bit of this shiny, golden curtain (I found it few years ago in a second hand).

I had just a simple zipper and I didn't have time to go to a shop and buy a hidden one, so I sewed in the simple one and of course it looks awful.. but I don't mind it (I don't because it's my first skirt, if it was another one I would be incredibly disappointed!!).

It's also 2cm too loose so I have to use a safety pin..

I don't usually wear clothes like this BUT I wore this skirt to our New Year's Eve party in Wrocław! It's soooo weird when you wear something you sewed.. all the time you think it looks ugly and that everyone can see these small faults!! ;d

What do you think about it? Oh and I forgot to mention that firstly it was a hip skirt, but it didn't look good so I changed it to a waist skirt! :)

A little bit of this.. and a little bit of that :)

Uhh.. still no time for sewing, mostly because I stay at my friend's house all the time

(she lives next to my University and we really have better grades when we learn together!)

so again I have to show you some things I made a couple of weeks ago :)

 Some time ago we (me & Antilight) decided to make another little swap!

 I sewed for her a mini vanity bag and two tissue holders :) I send it few days ago with a christmas card (one of the cards you had seen in the previous post).

But it's not that I don't do anything creative at all! Two days ago I received a wonderful gift from my friend Bee.. she gave me a set of Sharpie Fabric Markers! Ohh you can't imagine how happy I am! I have been planning to buy them for a long time!

I had to try them out so I drew some feathers on my friend's pijama (she liked it so much that she washed it immediately and wore it the next day - not as a pijama anymore!)

Yesterday when I came back home I found an old simple blouse, of course

I decided to play with my new markers..

 And feathers again! It's not a piece of art, but It's always fun to wear

something you (almost) did by yourself, right? :)

 I thought that the colour will loose some saturation after washing, but it really didn't!

 Now I think that maybe these markers weren't such a good idea.. I'll draw something on every single fabric I have! Uhh.. but It's really fun - that's most important! :)

New Life for an Old Shirt

Girls from Art-Piaskownica thought of another very interesting project! This time we have to recycle an old shirt for the Recycle Challenge! And it's not that easy as it sounds!

I bought a nice old shirt in a second hand, size 46 so it was a bit too big as you can see below.

I decided to cut off the sleeves :)

And I left the shirt without them because I have no idea how to sew them back after narrowing!

Then from the cut sleeves I sewed a long stripe, which you cas see below the collar :)

The best thing about this shirt is that you can wear it in many ways. Sorry for the bad photos below but it was too cold to stand outside longer and make photos.. brrr!!

I still have to improve it a little because it's a bit too tight at the top and a bit too wide in the middle..

I don't really know how to sew nor narrow clothes, but I think this project was quite interesting! I'm very thankful for Art-Piaskownica's girls for taking me to the design team.. they are such a great inspiration and motivation for me! I would never remake a shirt without this Recycle Challenge!!

Firmoo Glasses

The time has come for my first review! Few weeks ago I have received a lovely pair of glasses from Firmoo. When I read that they wanted to send me something I was in a quite big shock! 

I picked a pair of nerdy glasses.. You will probably ask why not something more practical like sunglasses.. Well, I don't really wear sunglasses, only when I have to. Something different with nerds. I love making/seeing and having photos with nerds! !

 What is magical about these glasses is that they are matt black!

  And fit almost every type of clothes! 

I was very suprised by the service of Firmoo (seriously!). Glasses were packed very safe. I received some free, useful things too. Two tiny screwdrivers, a fabric case and a plastic one too.

I compared these glasses to my other ones from various marks and I really have to admit that Firmoo has great quality. Frames are very solid - I have a talent for destroying frames, but these ones are still alive and in perfect shape! :)

Bacon Story Consequences and a Dress Makeover

Warning - a lot of photos and text!

Few days ago we visited the Bicycle Cinema in my town and we had a little picnic and a grill. The cinema was in Park Zielona ('Green Park') so after the film finished we went to our lovely lake in the middle of the night.. After some funny stories at the lake we went home few kilometres a little bit drunk and extremely exhausted. I was home about 3a.m. and of course I went to bed. I woke up the next day and took a peek into my bag.. I was really surprised to see bacon in there (without any paper around it!). Everything smelled like old bacon and was covered in it! Everything had to go the washing.. and of course I didn't have any big emergency wallets, tissue holders etc. so I had to sew everything yesterday!!

Well it was a good reason to make a new wallet and a great necessity really..

I need big wallets so I can put everything there.. seriously everything;p

 I love making wallets like this one, a lot of work but it's quite simple :)

 And ohh it has so so soooo many pockets!

 6 card slots.. but I really have about 12 cards there;p As you know I also had to sew a new tissue holder.. I decided to make a really nice one this time, not a super quick one. And I really like how it came out with the red checked edges! :)

 Ok enough about the silly Bacon Story.. now something different - really different!

About a year ago I got a beautiful dress from my cousin, but it didn't really fit me - the upper part was way too big.. And because of that I wore it only three times.. Eventually I decided to make a mini skirt from it! My first mini skirt ever.. and without a pattern!

I'm really shocked that it came out quite well!! As you know I don't sew clothes and I don't really have a clue how to make them.. but one of my summer holiday goals is to sew a dress or something.. I also sewed a belt for it.. A very simple one :)

I know this skirt is really short but when it was a dress it was ever shorter!

Well, what do you think about it?? I would love to hear your opinion about this skirt!
